Security

Obtaining your mail over the web is a new, easy, and secure option.

The Web Mail site uses a secure connection using Secure Sockets Layer or SSL. This means that your Username and Password, and all your email is encrypted between the server and your browser.

The company providing this Web Mail service has issued the security certificate used for the SSL connection. If you are using Microsoft IE for your browser, you will see the Security Alert to your left. This is OKAY! Since the company providing the security is not one that IE knows about, you will get this prompt each time you go to get your webmail. Simply click on Yes to continue. If you are using Netscape as your browser you will see a similar Alert, simply follow the steps to install the certificate into Netscape and you will never see the Alert again.

This is okay, Click "Yes"

Logging In

To Login, type in your Username and Password. This is the same Username and Password you used when dialing in.

Listing Messages

Below is the List Message Tool Bar. From here you can re-list your messages, compose a new message, or log out.

Next you will see a list of messages you have to read (15 per page).

Click on the Subject to read the mail

Click on the username the email is From to email that user.

To Delete emails, click on the check box under the garbage can to select which email to delete, and then click on the garbage can to delete.

Please note, reading messages through Web Mail will NOT remove messages when you receive them through your browser's email, but if you delete a message through Web Mail, that email will be gone forever. This is a good way to delete very large emails that you do not wish to download with your browser's email.

Reading Messages

Below is the Read Message Tool Bar. From here you can re-list your messages, compose a new message, reply to the current message you are reading, reply to all on the current message you are reading, forward the message you are reading to someone else, or logout.

Below is the actual email. If there is an attachment you will see one of two things. If the attachment is an image (gif or jpeg), or if the attachment is plain text or html it will be displayed right in the email. If the attachment is of any other format you will see a link to it. By clicking on the link you can download the attachment to your computer.

Composing New Messages

Below is what you will see when composing a new message.

To create a new message, enter the person's email address in the To: field. To email multiple people, separate each email with a comma (,). You can Carbon Copy (CC) people the same way.

To attach something to your email, first click on the "Browse..." button. This will bring up a wizard to select the file you wish to attach. Note, currently Web Mail does NOT support multiple attachments.
